Vishnupur fair Received the status of a National Fair in December Held every year between 27 and 31 December near the Madanmohana Temple, Vishnupur (Bishnupur), the Festival celebrates the rich heritage of this temple town famous for its beautiful terracota temples and elegant silk sarees are the most important festivals in Vishnupur, and Jhapan, the snake festival in August is another important local festival.

Paus Mela, which starts on the 7th day of the Bengali calendar month of Paus, is the most important annual festival of Shantiniketan. It is a colourful festival – a meeting ground for the rural and urban milieu.
